Our History

A Legacy of Philanthropy
and Progress

Our journey began in 1993, when a group of dedicated Lebanese Maronite expatriates in the United States came together with a vision: to support the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) and ensure that education remains accessible to future generations in Lebanon. Since our founding, HSUF has:

A Vision for Education

The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) was founded by the Lebanese Maronite Order (LMO) as the first private Catholic university established on a Lebanese initiative, dedicated to academic excellence and community service.

The Holy Spirit University Foundation (HSUF) was established by a group of Lebanese Maronite expatriates in the United States to support USEK’s educational mission and provide financial aid to students.

Strengthening Philanthropy

The USEK Advancement Office was launched on December 1st to expand philanthropic efforts, enabling greater investment in financial aid, new education programs, and campus enhancements.
